The Government of the State of Chihuahua, through the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) and the Institute for the Support of Technological Development (INADET), held a meeting with 22 Chihuahua students currently training in Taipei as part of the “Chihuahua in Taiwan” program.

As part of the official visit to Taiwan and participation in the TAITRONICS 2025 International Fair, the delegation—led by the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Fernández—met with the group of students, who shared their progress in areas such as semiconductors, smart manufacturing, and artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, the students expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to return to Chihuahua and apply the knowledge they have gained, contributing to the economic, technological, and social development of their communities.

Dr. Hong-De Chang, Vice President of the Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), praised the students’ outstanding performance at his institution and at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). “We are grateful for this group of students. Their dedication and fresh perspective give us confidence that the future of the industry looks bright for Chihuahua,” he said.

INADET’s General Director, Sergio Mancinas, congratulated the participants, emphasizing that this exchange represents a unique opportunity to strengthen their professional development and showcase the state’s technological potential to the world. “Each of you represents the best of Chihuahuan talent. Your dedication and vision are proof that Chihuahua continues advancing toward a more innovative and intelligent industry,” he stated.

Through programs like “Chihuahua in Taiwan,” the State Government reaffirms its commitment to developing specialized talent and positioning Chihuahua as a national leader in technological education for the industries of the future.
